Dr. George W. Bishop is the founder and owner of The Animal Hospital at the Crossroads. He graduated from Ohio State University and started the practice in 1969. He is past president of the California Veterinary Medical Association, recipient of the American Animal Hospital Association's Outstanding Practitioner Award and member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Monterey Bay Area Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Bishop continues to be active in both the state and national veterinary organizations.   He represents all California veterinarians at the American Veterinary Medical Association.  He served on the California Veterinary Medical Board in a variety of positions since 1990.  Dr. Bishop has also received multiple awards and special recognitions from these organizations such as; the Presidents Award and the Distinguished Life Award from the CVMA, The Leo Bustard Award from the AVMA and the Alumni recognition award from the Ohio State University.

Dr. Elneda Connors is from northeastern Pennsylvania.  After graduating from college, she had a career in human hospital information systems before following her heart and moving into veterinary medicine.  Dr. Connors graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and worked in Sacramento, Davis and in the San Francisco Bay area.  In 2001 she purchased Camino Real Pet Clinic in Burlingame, an active two doctor small animal practice.  She was president of the Peninsula Veterinary Medical Association, honored by the PHS & SPCA as 2004 Veterinarian of the Year and provided veterinary care for Corgi and German Shepherd rescue groups.  After selling her clinic in late 2012, Dr. Connors moved to Carmel Valley with her husband and career change Guide Dogs "Mulligan" and "Norton."
